Suomenlinna Island

Couldn’t resist taking a ferry to Suomenlinna Island, a sea fortress. Historically It has been occupied by Sweden, Norway, Russia and for more than the last hundred years Finland. The quantity, diversity and size of the buildings and fortifications are amazing. It was a fascinating day trip.
