Crenellated Toe-Up Socks by Lucy Neatby | Digital Pattern
These socks are begun with a Bosnian-style square garter-stitch toe.
Starting at the toe has many advantages: It's very easy to adjust the sock to fit around your foot to perfection - just try it on as you go. Last-minute size modifications are simple.
Excellent for those who have difficulty finding socks that fit and do not bind!
Once you've made it past the ankle, toe-up socks allow you to knit up the leg until you have used almost half of your yarn, thus ensuring enough yarn for the second sock.
The pattern features detailed written instructions and diagrams.
This pattern is also available in my book Cool Socks Warm Feet.
